When I first started to become aware of the inside-out
nature of life, I was sitting in a Yoga class.
At the time, I was also living in an abusive marriage. The Yoga instructor said something that hit
me deeply to my core. She said, “We
cannot change the external world, we can only change ourselves from within.”
Hearing those words ignited strength and knowing inside my
core – that gave me the courage and insight to leave a person who was
consistently verbally and physically abusive.
That was about 7 years ago. My
life has never been the same since that moment and turning point.
Today, I gain more and more understanding of the inside-out
nature to life. That we – people – are creating
our own personal realities, moment- to- moment, day- to- day. Having this understanding empowers me to live
a happy, peaceful life. Having this
understanding, allows me to access my own internal, innate wisdom and wellbeing. It is who I AM. And this understanding helps guide me
peacefully along my path. It helps me to
realize when I just happen to be believing some thoughts that may be helpful to
me – or other thoughts that aren’t helpful at all!
Several years ago I came into contact with a nonprofit called
Center for Sustainable Change. They were
teaching the 3 Principles of Mind, Consciousness and Thought – essentially an inside-out
understanding of life. I began to work for this non profit – and see the
dramatic positive change this type of understanding truly can have in the lives
of so many people.
Today I am continuing this love – I am continuing to walk in
my heart’s direction that tells me to be of ever-loving help and support to
others. This is the best way I know to
help. This is the most empowering way I know to serve.
To point people back to their own, natural-born wisdom. To remind every person, they too, can experience
peace of mind.
